List of the Cheapest WordPress Hosting Providers in the UK

Having been through so many hosts, people often just want to find a cheap hosting provider to either get their WordPress website started off, or just experiment if creating websites is there thing. Point is, there are many WordPress hosts that provide quality web hosting services at reasonable prices for everyone to use.

Here is the list of the top 5 cheapest WordPress hosting packages:

1. iWebsterr.com – Their hosting plan comes in first at £1.99 with unlimited features and a choice between Linux and windows hosting; 99.99% up-time and dell only servers makes this host the best choice for the money your paying. You can host unlimited domain names for that one low price. Fast support as well – with their WordPress quick install feature, it makes no sense to be with any other host (hence we have shifted this website to theirs). Their servers are also suitable for enterprise level WordPress hosting, such as eCommerce WordPress sites or business themes.

2. Hostgator – Although not truly a UK host, they have been around for a while and know what they are doing. Costing at £5,99 a month, their hosting plans have similar features to iClickster with pretty much the price difference in the way. Their one-click install WordPress feature is available, but they have an issue about the URL appearing slightly different on the address bar – so if your domain is domain.com, the url will appear as domain.com/index.html – which makes it look a little messy, although it is fixable, but I would not want to waste time on fixing this when I can be getting on with my website development.

3. JustHost - They are a fairly decent hosting company charging £8.99 a month for hosting unlimited WordPress websites. Update: They have been reported to have URL issues when installing wordpress using the one-click function, so if you don’t know how to correct this after an install, don’t use them as their support do not help in this.

4. Page – although they are not the cheapest of hosts, they have been around for a while so we thought to mention them anyway. Their cheapest plan is £12 a month, which only hosts 1 website with very basic features, but still has WordPress self-install facility available if needed. But this plan is not suitable for Business level WordPress hosting, but more like a blog.

5. 5quidhosting – although they managed to sneak their way into the top list, they are not the cheapest, nor are suitable for eCommerce hosting or business level, just like Page. They have been around for a while and thought it was useful to list them, but their hosting plans are from free hosting plans, to £10.99.
