iWebsterr vs Justhost vs BlueHost vs Hostgator – Who is the Best WordPress Hosting Provider in the UK?

iWebster Vs Godaddy vs Justhost vs Hostgator

Thanks to our online team who have been working hard day and night (and continue to do so, even now) on researching who really are the top hosts for WordPress that many people use in the UK; not only did we use secondary data, which is useful, but cannot always be accurate, we used first hand research data to calculate the ideal host to host with when using WordPress, or any CGI based script.

(See Reviews for iWebsterr our current top host,  and for other hosts find the reviews here submitted by third party users online as well as our own take on each company and why we recomend them and why we don’t)

The few factors that were looked at which helped us find who are the top hosts in the UK, are as follows:

1. Value for Money: We asked ourselves, are the features being given in the hosting plans actually any value to the end user who would be using WordPress? We balanced this by comparing what most top WordPress website owners use in their WordPress blogs, and websites, and looked at the server features that were being offered – this allowed us to give a number to the value being provided.

2. Features: This ties in with the above point, but is vital enough to have its own category as some WordPress users like using multiple features of the server and other scripts which allow them to manage their website, this doesn’t only include IP blockers and the standard tools you normally get, but also includes how easy it is to install WordPress and get online as fast as possible – we merged this into features as this does play a vital role, especially to webmasters who wish to build multiple WordPress websites as a business tool – like those that make mini websites using WordPress.

3. Server Speed, Uptime and Server Specs: These three factors are vital in choosing a great WordPress host, or to host your own WordPress site on your own server.  Most hosts always have good uptime these days, but the Uptime does not show problems with server specifications that could cause slow servers – hence we had to measure the server in various ways, to see which host as optimal settings for a fantastic super sonic WordPress website speeds.

4. Reviews: We searched review sites, found individual customers of the hosts and interviewed 500 clients of each host – checked their stories that they left on review sites, and gave each hosting company a rank for this specific section.

5. Business History: Although most end-users for WordPress hosting do not have much concerns for the business history of their hosts, as long as the host is legitimate, we felt it was important to look at the years in service, and if there were any big bumps that were on the way, and how they were handled by the host. We have 3 WordPress hosting experts who looked at this for us, and reported their findings back.

Here they are in order from the top host for WordPress, to the least favorite – we picked the top for having the most scoring on each, with a good balance in features, and ideal server environment for running WordPress sites, be it multiple or singular:

1. iWebsterr.com – (Updated to Cluster Cloud with same prices)

2. Hostgator.com

3. JustHost.com

4. BlueHost.com

5. Godaddy.com

So is this a complete list for the top WordPress Companies, ever made?

There are new wordpress and non-wordpress based companies getting launched everyday; the purpose of our reviews and rating here is to present the most beneficial companies to the end user (you) who wants to host from a reliable host that has stood the test of time just like the Egyptian Pyramids or the Statue of the great Buddha! – of course there will be companies out there that will likely provide sincere services to their customers just like the above companies iWebsterr, Hostgator to name a couple.

Should I just buy from the best listed here? or Should I analyze each one myself first for WordPress suitability?

The intention of these ratings are to present the current best WordPress hosting companies in the UK, USA and Worldwide; the choice to buy is up to you. We just ask, to say thank you, please like our facebook page located on the right hand side of this page and stay updated on everything related to WordPress.

We do update the above list regularly, but the best of the best really do tend to stay on top, unless a major downfall happens, like what happened with Godaddy, which is a US based WordPress compatible company; they had some problems with their domain DNS settings, which caused all the domains they hosted, to go down; this was what made them fall, as the DNS problems can still happen, but never happened at that scale to any major hosting company in the world.

When was this chart last updated?

As you know, there are always problems with outdated information on various hosting companies, so we always include a date of last update – we keep editing any changes regularly and update the date below.
